We aim to:
- Provide a secure and happy atmosphere in which all students can learn and will be sensitively cared for.
- Ensure that all students reach the highest level of competence in language, maths, science and ICT.
- Help all students express themselves creatively through languages, movement, art, music, dram and technology
- Help all students understand the world in which they live through religious, moral, historical and geographical studies.
- Provide all student with a range of physical activities at both individual and group level.
- Provide a flexible curriculum at Key Stage 4 to include Work Related learning, Tertiary College Links and subject options.
- Develop in all students a tolerance of other races and ways of life.
- Involve parents in the life of the school so they become partners with the school in the education of their child.
- Promote liaisons between schools, tertiary colleges, and work training providers in order that the education of each young person is a smooth continuous process.
- Support and promote achievement and School improvement through a commitment to Continuous Professional development of all staff.
Special Educational Needs Policy
- All pupils have a Statement of Special Educational Needs.
- All pupils have an Individual Education Plan.
- All pupils have an Annual Review each year.
- There is a SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator).
- The curriculum will be modified to meet the pupils needs.
- The LEA decides which pupils will be placed at the school.
